In 2014, Into Your Hands-Africa will be piloting the Life Skills Scholar program at two schools. Each scholar will receive a scholarship, enterprise project like Send a Piglet Home, as well as the Life Skills Curriculum. This comprehensive approach will allow for multiple interventions for a child and their family which will improve the outcome for each individual that our program works with.

In November a group of six traveled to the villages that Into Your Hands-Africa supports. In total the group saw 140 families learning about mango farming through the Parents Development Association, met hundreds of scholarship students, distributed over 400 solar lights to children at our schools, saw the Fire Alarm Services Science Lab under construction, held three first-aid training clinics, taught children to sew, and worked with the sewing center to develop their business management and uniform sewing skills...all in two weeks work!
